Bio
John Hausdoerffer, author and editor of works such as Wildness: Relations of People and Place, What Kind of Ancestor Do You Want to Be?, and Kinship: Belonging in a World of Relations, brings a philosophical lens to our relationship with the natural world, drawing on his experience as a teacher and environmental advocate from Crested Butte, Colorado.
Gavin Van Horn, known for his books The Way of Coyote, City Creatures, and the award-winning Kinship and Elementals series, offers a unique perspective as a writer and editor deeply immersed in exploring the ties between humans and the elemental forces of earth, air, water, and fire.
The PhotoVogue Festival, the first conscious fashion photography festival that focuses on the common ground between ethics and aesthetics, returns for its eighth edition. From March 6th to 9th, 2025, BASE Milano will host a series of exhibitions and talks analysing the interrelation between humans and Nature, and the relations of kinship we can create with animals, complemented by satellite events at the city’s finest galleries.
